Residential sales activity in the area served by the Niagara Association of REALTORS® rose in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
Residential property sales numbered 1,948 units in the fourth quarter of 2024, accelerating 12.1% compared to the same quarter in 2023.
Sales rose 12.5% for single detached homes, were up 27.7% for townhouse and row units, and were down 10.9% for apartment units compared to a year earlier in the fourth quarter.
Annually, residential property sales numbered 9,502 units in all of 2024. This was down 2.5% compared to the 9,749 units recorded in 2023.
