London Employment Trends
The unemployment rate in London was 6.5% as of November 2024, up 0.1% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 5.1% below the peak from June 2020 and is below the long-run average.
There were 3,400 more full-time jobs in November 2024 compared to a month earlier. A loss of 700 part-time positions led to an increase of 2,700 total jobs in November.
Full-time employment was still down 13,300 jobs from the peak in October 2023 but stood 3,400 jobs above the trough in October 2024.
