Kamloops Employment Trends

 

The unemployment rate in Kamloops was 6.3% as of April 2025, up 0.7% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 7.9% below the peak from April 2020 and is below the long-run average.

There were 4,200 more full-time jobs in April 2025 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a loss of 100 part-time positions, this led to an increase of 4,100 total jobs in April.

Full-time employment has recovered since reaching a bottom in August 2023 and now stands at a record high.
