Brantford Employment Trends

The unemployment rate in Brantford was 6.3% as of September 2026, up 0.1% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 7.4% below the peak from June 2020 and is below the long-run average.

There were 1,200 fewer full-time jobs in September 2026 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a gain of 900 part-time positions, this led to a decrease of 300 total jobs in September.

Full-time employment was down 1,200 jobs from the peak in August 2026.
