Brantford Employment Trends

The unemployment rate in Brantford was 6.1% as of March 2025, up 0.8% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 7.6% below the peak from June 2020 and is below the long-run average.

There were 500 fewer full-time jobs in March 2025 compared to a month earlier. A gain of 300 part-time positions led to a decrease of 200 total jobs in March.

Full-time employment was still down 7,600 jobs from the peak in May 2024.
