Manitoba Employment Trends

 

The unemployment rate in Manitoba was 5.6% as of July 2025, unchanged from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 5.7% below the peak in June 2020 and is below the long-run average.

There were 2,400 fewer full-time jobs in July 2025 compared to a month earlier. Combined with a gain of 4,000 part-time positions, this led to an increase of 1,600 total jobs in July.

Full-time employment was still down 2,400 jobs from the peak in June 2025.
