Manitoba Employment Trends
The unemployment rate in Manitoba was 5.8% as of October 2024, up 0.1% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 5.3% below the peak from June 2020 but remains above the long-run average.
There were 300 fewer full-time jobs in October 2024 compared to a month earlier. A gain of 3,100 part-time positions led to an increase of 2,800 total jobs in October.
Full-time employment was still down 5,000 jobs from the peak in April 2024.
