City of Brandon MLS® single detached home sales decline in March

Sales of single detached homes in the City of Brandon recorded through the MLS® System of the Brandon Area REALTORS® numbered 40 units in March 2024. This was down sharply by 16.7% (eight sales) from the same month in 2023.

Single detached home sales were 23.7% below the five-year average and 22.9% below the 10-year average for the month of March.

On a year-to-date basis, home sales totaled 95 units over the first three months of the year. This was a minor decrease of 2.1% (two sales) from the same period in 2023.

The median sale price for single detached homes sold in March 2024 was $313,500, a moderate gain of 8.5% from March 2023.

The more comprehensive year-to-date median price was $295,000, increasing by 6.5% from the first three months of 2023.

Single detached properties spent less time on the market before selling in March 2024 than they had a year earlier. The median number of days on market for single detached home sales was 22 in March 2024, down from the 33.5 days recorded in March 2023.

The dollar value of all single detached home sales in in March 2024 was $13 million, a sharp decrease of 13.4% from the same month in 2023.
