Residential sales activity in the Greater Toronto Area rose in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
Residential property sales numbered 15,892 units in the fourth quarter of 2024, accelerating 28.9% compared to the same quarter in 2023.
Sales rose 31% for single detached homes, were up 22% for semi-detached units, were up 26.4% for condominium townhouse units, and were up 25.7% for condominium apartment units compared to a year earlier in the fourth quarter.
Annually, residential property sales numbered 67,985 units in all of 2024. This was up 2.5% compared to the 66,311 units recorded in 2023.
