Residential sales activity in Ottawa rose in the fourth quarter of 2024 compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
Residential property sales numbered 2,530 units in the fourth quarter of 2024, increasing 38% compared to the same quarter in 2023.
Sales rose 36.8% for single detached homes, were up 48.3% for townhouse and row units, and were up 20.1% for apartment units compared to a year earlier in the fourth quarter.
Annually, residential property sales numbered 11,780 units in all of 2024. This was up 11.6% compared to the 10,554 units recorded in 2023.
