Non-Waterfront Residential

Months of inventory for non-waterfront residential properties numbered 3.9 at the end of the fourth quarter of 2019, down from the 4.4 months recorded at the end of the fourth quarter of 2018.

The number of months of inventory is the number of months it would take to sell current inventories at the current rate of sales activity.

Despite a tighter market, non-waterfront properties spent more time on the market in the fourth quarter of 2019 than they had a year earlier.

The median number of days on market for non-waterfront properties was 37 in the fourth quarter of 2019, up slightly from 35 days in the fourth quarter of 2018.


Waterfront

Months of inventory for waterfront properties numbered 7.5 at the end of the fourth quarter of 2019, down from the 21.4 months recorded at the end of the fourth quarter of 2018.

The number of months of inventory is the number of months it would take to sell current inventories at the current rate of sales activity.

With a tighter market, waterfront properties spent less time on the market in the fourth quarter of 2019 than they had a year earlier.

The median number of days on market for waterfront properties was 58 in the fourth quarter of 2019, down from 69 days in the fourth quarter of 2018.
