Residential sales activity in Edmonton slowed in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the fourth quarter of 2021.
Residential property sales numbered 4,244 units in the fourth quarter of 2022, a decrease of 27.3% compared to the same quarter in 2021.
Sales slowed 31.1% for single detached homes, were down 8.9% for townhouse and row units, and were down 10.7% for apartment units compared to a year earlier in the fourth quarter.
Annually, residential property sales numbered 18,682 units in all of 2022. This was up 20.5% compared to the 15,503 units recorded in 2021. This was the highest number of annual residential sales ever recorded.
