Vancouver Employment Trends
The unemployment rate in Vancouver was 5.6% as of June 2024, down 0.1% from the previous month. The unemployment rate stood 7.9% below the peak from June 2020 and is below the long-run average.
There were 6,000 fewer full-time jobs in June 2024 compared to a month earlier. A loss of 2,200 part-time positions led to a decrease of 8,200 total jobs in June.
Full-time employment was still down 6,000 jobs from the peak in May 2024.
