Residential Activity


Residential sales activity in the area served by the Barrie & District Association of REALTORS® Inc. (BDAR) slowed in the second quarter of 2024 compared to the second quarter of 2023.

Residential property sales numbered 1,579 units in the second quarter of 2024, a decrease of 22.4% compared to the same quarter in 2023.

Sales slowed 21.7% for single detached homes, were down 11% for townhouse and row units, and were down 32.7% for apartment units compared to a year earlier in the second quarter.
